Yes, please remember that there are different factors to consider. One of the main considerations is what pier is the container coming from. All piers have different hours of operation, and some require an appointment to pick up and drop off containers.

Can Blitz Transportation handle specialized cargo, such as fragile or oversized items?

Are there any environmental initiatives in place at Blitz Transportation?

Yes, Blitz Transportation is doing our part by being a paper free company. All of our owner operators work with digital copies of Bill of Ladings and Proof of Delivery receipts. These can easily be sent instantly to your email address or sent to your billing department.

When can you pick up my container?

Once your Import is empty, you can simply login to your account on our website and mark it empty 24/7. We will do everything in our power to be there within 48 hours.

Once your Export is loaded, we can create an appointment to return the container back to the pier according to the vessel schedule at the pier.

When can you deliver my container?

Asap. Once your import container is available, dispatch will need to create a pick up appointment at the pier, if necessary. Once the appointment is secured we will deliver the container to your warehouse.

If you are requesting an empty container for Export, we can create an appointment to pick up the empty and drop the container off to your warehouse. When possible we may even be able to street turn an empty container for you to help expedite the process.

I received notification that my empty was not returned, but your driver took it. Can you help?

Usually, the piers update the steamship line electronically when a container is brought in or out of the pier. Sometimes though the information is not transmitted correctly. Just let us know and we can help you clear it up.

If your container was reused for a street turn, we can gladly send you our authorization from the steamship line. That way, you can have it cleared up right away.

What is a street turn?

A street turn is when an empty Import container is reused to load an Export container. All we need is a booking number and permission from the current steamship line.

My container has been moved by US Customs and Border Patrol for an exam. Can Blitz still pick it up?

Yes, US Customs will have the container moved to an exam site of their choice so that they can complete their exam. Blitz can pick up the container from the exam site once the exam is completed and all charges are paid in full.

How do I know my container is available?

Simply login to your account on our website, there you can see if your container is available yet.

My container is supposed to come today. How do I know what time it will be here?

Simply login to your account on our website, there you can see the drivers progress in real time progress. Unfortunately, we can not control how long a driver is in the pier. We will do our best to drop off your container as soon as possible.

Our warehouse will be closed, can you still drop off our container?

Yes, we will gladly drop off your container to you, just let us know if there are any special instructions you would like the driver to follow. For example: Drop in Dock 1 with the doors open or Do not drop in any docks, please park on the side of the building.

We can also pick up your container if it is ready to return during your off hours. All we need to know is that the container is cleared on the inside of all debris, and it is not pin locked or blocked by anything.

It is getting late and I can’t take the container after hours. Can Blitz store it until tomorrow?

Yes, we will gladly hold the container for you until you can take delivery. However, pre-pull and storage charges will apply.

We can also pick up your container if it is ready to return during your off hours. All we need to know is that the container is cleared on the inside of all debris, and it is not pin locked or blocked by anything.

Our warehouse will be closed during the holidays, but our container needs to be picked up before then. Can you store the container for us?

Yes, we will gladly hold the container for you until you can take delivery. However, pre-pull and storage charges will apply.
